What does it stand for?
CW: "[COMMON WEALTH FAMILY]
ah...Common Wealth Family honors what "
Family" means, how "Wealth" is achieved and the "Common"
message they want you to receive."
CMB: How many members are in your group and
what are their names? CW: Four , Wiki, Mose, [gR], & R.i:: CMB: So see you have a new album out.
What is the title & what can people
expect to get from listening to it?
CW: "yes...[dIsCo LeMoNaDe] is the title of the new album. Expect great
cutting edge music and light humor. Couple skits featuring Comedian
Terry Jones. We have alot more to offer than most."
CMB: Groups can be tricky. Is there ever any in fighting going on?
CW: "nope. lmao. never. hahaha"
CMB: Everyone has different personalities in life. What personalities do each
group member bring to the table?
CW: "we compare ourselves to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles [gR] is
Donatello (wierd thinker), Wiki is Michelangelo (party boy), Mose is
Raphael (attitude & hard nosed), & I (R.i::) am Leonardo (lead role
with alot of things, but gets on their nerves, but they respect me).
lol. but thats the best description."
CMB: In the music industry if you had your pick of other artist to work with
what top 3 would you chose & why?
CW: "eh...Id say we def like to perform on a tour with NERD...for some
reason...we kinda wanna just do music ourselves for now."
CMB: What are your plans going into 2010?
CW: "Re-Release the [dIsCo LeMoNade] album offically for Jan. 1st.
REMASTERED and DIGITALLY ENHANCED . New art, new campaign. couple
new songs. 2010 is the RISE OF PIRATE CITY!!"

CMB: So where did you get the name Jolina Star?
JS: Well my real name is Angelina and people call me Jolina for short.
Star comes from my neighbours,they allways call me popstar,thats how I adapted the name Jolina Star.Believe me after you hear the name popstar a thousand times,even though you`re not, you kinda get used to it! hahaha
CMB: When did you know you wanted to be a singer?
JS: After that first hit of crack,I was floating in the clouds,I said:”Whitney,dat you?”,nonono seriously
I started singing from a young age,had a band in between,but the problem was , they smoked weed(which was not the problem) and when they smoked, they remembered everything,but when they didn`t
ding dong damn,(sista,you don`t wanna know),so I decided to go dolo.
CMB: Have you had any training in dance or singing?
JS: Fred Astair ain`t got shit on me,most dancers moonwalk,I walk the moon,and than reality sets in,and I`m getting up at 8 a.m.to go to work
and deal with these non tipping customers (I`m a waitress on the side ,pays my bills and pays for my recordings and videos).Singing?
Singing is natural either you got it or you don`t.
CMB: The Industry is soaked in sex now or days. What are you willing to do to sell your music? What are you not willing to do?
JS: Did you say soaked in sex?U got female artist throwing so much ass in the camera they could quaterback for the pittsburgh steelers,I believe in a lil bit of sexy,as you can see in my video,but I don`t believe in giving it all away,you have to leave something for the imagination and leave professional room for the developing artist to grow.
CMB: Who are your Idols?
JS: Sade , She goes platinum everytime and stays away from the troublesome industry.
CMB: If you could work with anyone who would that be?
JS: Sade or Prince
CMB: What can people expect on your album?
JS: Just good music with touch of love
CMB: When does your album arrive?
JS: It looks like it`s gonna be middle of 2010`,I´m still looking for the perfect combination of radio friendly songs. Give people a taste of What it was like filming your music video “Make you love me”? t was stress to death records over there.naturally the planning started months before the actual shoot.I had to get all kind of permits and clearances for the locations,the helicopter was the hardest part,we had to shoot the scene way outside of the city and when we got there we had limited time to shoot the scene,there a chunks of the film material from different sets we never used.
CMB: For our Readers tell them how you found Chasemebaby.com & what you like about it?
JS: I found it online and was very pleased with the site and its diversity. U really give artist a chance and a platform to do their thing and thats whats up.
CMB: What are your plans going into 2010?
JS: To do a lot more collaborations with Next2Flex Entertainment in New York City.Its a small multimedia company,which handles music,art,fashion and film.I hired them to do the music video.
On the other hand I wanna stay healthy and do good deeds and keep delivering hot new music and great videos to ur site!

I met MDotBaggz threw Blogtv. In one Evening he managed to go from just another wild boy viewer of my program “Sex talk with Chayse” to an interesting character. Living outside of Manhattan Mdot is yet again another aspiring rapper. Even though this is becoming old hat in the business he has got the soul of an old school player. As he played track after track for me during his live broadcast on Blogtv. I listend to we created material that not once made me wince or cringe or have that “yea this is a ghetto recording” , instant thought I so usually get. Then once he let me in that he recorded 9 albums worth of material since he was 15 and has put 3 out for sale I really wanted to know more. Mdot filled me in that he was leaving for the Philippines in the fall to be on a t.v. show and hopes he can get some of the footage on youtube for all his people back in the United States to see. How interesting. It’s nice to see someone so dedicated to his craft make themselves flexible enough to take work (that will give him some kind of exposure or lesson to learn) where he can. It’s just great. So that is why Mdot is our up and comer of August. Good Luck!

CMB: Hello Daddy Bawsten. May I call you Daddy? That’s an interesting name. How did you come by that name?Bawsten: Well Daddy was a name given to me by the ladies…lol The Bawsten part came from wearing my Celtics jersey down at the courts. Cats just started calling me Boston so it stuck.
CMB: So we noticed in your new video “Miss Saditty” You have a partner in “preverbal crime” named Demic. How long have you two know each other?Bawsten: I’ve known Demic for about 8 years.Random Fact: Demic once said he would NEVER work with me Now we’re a group..lmao!
CMB: Are you like the next Puffy & Mase?
CMB: Where are you originally from?

CMB: So where did you come up with the name Cyon Flare?
CYON: Ahh, the name...I wanted the name to mean energy and not denote female or male. One of my favorite colors is blue, so I researched it and found that Cyan is a blueish green, but I didn't connect with the sound "si an" so I looked up the word "Scion" and I loved the sound of it and its meaning, "a descendant of a notable family or one with a long lineage" So I changed the "a" in Cyan to an "o" and now its pronounced (Sci-on) Cyon. I am in love with the Universe and just love our precious Sun. Flare is inspired by the sun, sun flares, its meaning; sudden brief burst of bright flame or light. And like a sudden burst, Cyon Flare was born bring energy to everything he touches! CMB: How long have you been an entertainer?
CYON: Since Birth it seems ahahahahahah! singing and dancing all over the house, from cha cha heels to dresses and big hats! Yet it was only in the past 10 years that i've been considered an entertainer. But I think the world is catching up! ahahaha CMB: Your up coming project , will this be your first release? Cyon: Rise is actually my second single to be released and Everybody Everybody was the first to be released in 2008. Everybody Everybody hit the Billboard Dance charts at number 31. CMB: Who are some of you musical inspirations? Cyon: Sarah Vaughan, Patti Labelle, Sylvester, Boy George, George Michael, Nancy Wilson, Little Jimmy Scott, The Barrett Sisters, just to name a few! CMB: What are you plans for this june? Cyon: I am so excited to be hosting and performing for this years Gaydays at Disney World in Orlando Florida, Milwaukee, and Chicago. I am so excited about these opportunities! Yay! It is a chance to spread the word that "Pride's not just a word, its a life style!" CMB: If you could collaborate with anyone one who would it be? Cyon: Baby, that would be of course Patti Labelle, Jeanie Tracey, Celeda, Antony and the Johnsons > CMB: How would you catagorize your image?
Cyon: I often describe myself as a combination of Mardi Gras, Carnival, and New Years, all happy times of Celebration! CMB: So are your family very supported of you & your choices? Who would yu say is the most supportive member of your family?
Cyon:Absolutely, my Family is 100% in my skin! My mom and two of her sisters are Gay as well, so I grew up in a gay family with support for everything I do. My Mom, like so many others is the biggest support! she and my brothers. They maybe straight, but they love my Flare! CMB: What can people expect for the rest of 2009 from Cyon Flare?
Cyon: The World can expect, Flare with Wisdom and Art with Passion! My goal is to build up all that I am in order to give more of what and who I am as an entertainer. I am so excited! I am also a spokesperson for the Domestic Violence March in Washington October 6th, and will be performing in front of many dignitaries! view. CMB: When did you get into rapping?
LM: I grew up listening to hip hop music from artists like Queen Latifah, Public Enemy etc. And my Dad used to rap when I was younger, so the influence and interest was always there. I didn’t start writing my first raps until I was about 12 years old.
CMB: Who are your inspirations?
LM: My musical inspirations stem from artists like Lauryn Hill, Brandy, Aaliyah and a few others. I’m just truly inspired by those people who not only are talented but use their gifts to positively touch and move people through word and performance.
CMB: Who in your family supports you the most?
LM: Well just about my whole family supports me, but as far as the most it would definitely have to be my mother. She is instrumental in my musical career as far as pushing me and making sure I don’t slack off. She’s always the one I turn to.
CMB: What celebrity would you like to work with on a project?
LM: Wow, that’s a tough one cuz there’s quite a few who are making some good strides in music. But if I had to chose, I gotta say Lauryn Hill aka “L-Boogie”. Just to be a part of her process would be dope because I’ve been moved by her since The Fugees and “The Miseducation”.
CMB: Where did you get your training in dance?
LM: I’ve been a natural dancer since a youngin’ lol, but I think I really started to develop my skills as a dancer in my high school Jazz class. I also took Jazz in college and belonged to a dance company for almost 7 years. During that time, I’ve taken from some well known choreographers in workshops and have done multiple auditions. Now I’m focusing more on teaching. It’s definitely another HUGE part of me, aside from my music.
CMB: If you could pick one super stars path to follow who’s would that be?
LM: I would have to say my girl Beyonce, because she is “killin” the industry right now. That woman is the definition of where years of hard work can take you for my generation. And she’s going far. Props to her!
CMB: What are your goals for 2009?
LM: My goals are to make great connections, and continue making good music and dance to inspire in a BIG way! There’s so much I want to do with my life, and the last thing I want to be able to say is that I never tried or gave it my all.

For the Many of you out there that have been checking the site since day one you have watched it grow each week. We are getting further & further away from finding talent to talent finding us & we like that. One strategy we are finding very use full is our many contest , especially our video of the week contest. This is held mostly threw our myspace account. Each week a fresh crop of hopefuls comment us their videos & few of us watch them all each sunday morning & select the video we believe has something special. some one special & is interesting to watch. One such captivating video came thanks to the management of Shaun H. Mykals. The video (that you can watch again below) for his single “Rolla Coaster” not only was creative, filmed in high def & with a plot line. But as my aunt would say, “girl that boy can sing!” Submissions like this with a myspace page like Shauns are really the talent that we want to show the world. Knowing that he has sung with greats like Patti labell & has the talent to create an entire album of top quality at home on a mac book he is surely a rising star! CMB: Where did you grow up?
Shaun: I grew up in Albany, New York
CMB: When did you realize that you had the gift of song?
Shaun: I recognized my musical ability at about the age of 6 or 7
CMB:What is more important to you, the money or the respect?
Shaun: Out of those two I would say respect is more important, Money comes and it goes as we are seeing now with the state of our country.
CMB: Who would be your ideal celebrity music video girlfriend?
Shaun:Gabrielle Union and if she’s not available OPRAH..
CMB: How much do you contribute to each project(song or video) you are in?
Shaun:I contribute greatly to my music and videos. I developed the slogan digitally independent because through this digital age I’ve been able to be very hands on with what is put out with my name on it. It has allowed me to work with great people and at the same time be Independent and call the shots, well most of them….. lol..
CMB: What singer alive or dead would you say has your ideal career path?
Shaun: I respect the career paths of many singers Ella Fitzgerald, Luther Vandross, Patti LaBelle, Whitney Houston and Daryl Coley to name a few… I have learned from them how important individuality is. None of them where trying to be the “Next” anything. That being said, the singer that has my ideal career path is Shaun Mykals, my path is unique to me, as is true with all of us.
CMB: I’m sure all the ladies want to know, are you single?
Shaun: YES totally and completely single!!! Lol.. and that is not an answer I was told to give, it’s THE TRUTH!!! LOL
CMB: What are your plans for 2009 Shaun?
Shaun: My plans for 2009 are to make the most out of every moment I’m given, stay focused on my vision, and to give some CPR to R&B!!!!!… My album Urban Sophistication is only the beginning!!!

Sound familiar?? He is just one of the many contestants that have been part of the phenomenon know as American Idol. Although thousands enter every year , & hundreds make it on tv only a handful make a name for themselves & an even smaller group maintain a career out of it. Charm & perseverance always come in handy. Even though he is a singer deep down Jarred is no fool, work is work & as the host on the FUSE channel he has had very steady work. Not to mention dabbling in modeling contest & constantly recording new material. Luckily he pulled lots of fans before myspace changed its players over to those wack, new, evil ones that make people who are already celebs get ridiculously higher play counts than new acts like “Homiside” who cant get those type of numbers now with out a promotion machine the size Tyra Banks forehead!
What we like at chasemebaby.com mostly about him is one thing , the music! Each song brings something different & even though he is unsigned, & writes his own material his sound comes off industry tight. He has plans this 2009 to release an album this summer with features from the likes of artist like Tech 9 & Kutt Calhoun.
