August 2010 Actress of The Month : Wendie Malick
Class is in session Children! Golden Globe winner. Tv & Movie actress. Well known Tv DIVA & rial Thin. She is not to be messed with. In true Hollywood fashion CMB was all young bucks last year with a splash of adults. The truth is allot of people become famous after 35. But they just don’t get sensationalized as much as the teen stars. Then you have women like Wendie that make constant come backs. Most recently you would notice her as the “Marshall’s stores” voice over. But she has starred in shows like , “Just shoot me”, “Sinfeild” & “Cybill”. She also does many cartoon voice overs & a list of small & large parts in a list of movies that will make your head spin! She has a career that spans over 30 years. 30 YEARS! So take notes kids if you want to know what a beautiful, healthy , & well rounded individual looks like in the acting community. This is it. She may not be an Oscar winner or a snobby red carpet regular. But when acting is your craft not just your means of making a pay check. The red carpet is less of fun than a new character to portray.
So now that she is back to playing a divalicious , mature hottie on “Hot in Cleveland” we are so delighted. The show which runs on TV Land. Was getting written off by critics but the viewers (millions of them) came out to support this modern day Golden Girls. Wether it was for Betty White , who plays the sarcastic care taker. Or the entire cast. The show has become a HUGE hit for not only the TV Land Channel but out of all the summer programs. It is now the biggest show on cable. And once you watch one episode you can easily see why. We are madly in love with the show & really respect Wendie’s Hustle. That is why she is featured this month.
BTW: Wendie will be 60 this year. Which means you are never to old to hustle up the jobs you really want! (we thought she was almost 50. so good for her!)
July’s 2010 Actress of the Month: Angelina Jolie
“Salt” Is Angelina’s Return to the action movie genre. It is here where she made men foam at the mouth & women bubble with female pride. As Laura Croft in “Tomb Raider” or a car thief in “Gone in 60 seconds”. She has managed to use her Unique sex appeal to melt the screen while kicking ass. Last years ‘Wanted” showed her bad girl side off once again but the films lead male actor was so boring to look at most people didn’t check the film out. “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” is not only the film where she met Brad Pitt but it is also the film where she has never looked sexier. “Salt” may prove to be her next sexy spy film. As the lead role she has allot of weight on her shoulders. But if she pulls this off she will quiet all the rumors that Megan Fox was about to take her throne. Think about it. Megan’s Lead film last year “Jennifer’s Body”, was a huge bomb (even though we liked it). Her recent film “Jonah Hex” was an even bigger bomb , she was replaced for the 3rd Transformers movie & she recently got married. Angelina has been with Brad for years & has no plans on being married. Which still makes her technically “available” & if this movie makes it into the top 3 she will be doing light years better than a girl 10 years younger than her. June Pride 2010 Actor of the Month: Robert Pattinson
Ok Ok we know what you’re thinking… “I thought you guys didn’t like him.” Thats just not true. In fact we never said that at all. What we said was he isn’t that sexy! Its true he isn’t that sexy, but we have seen worse. So why is he the June Pride actor of the month? Well, he has 3 films under his belt this year. 1 that already hit theaters (with a thud) , Eclipse which arrives this month & another arriving later this year. RPatz as his fans like to call him has a very busy year ahead of him & if things work out many more after this one. Its funny to think that this teen heart throb got his start in what we can only refer to as the geekiest children’s movies ever, “Harry Potter.” Sure he wasn’t a lead cast member but he did just enough to stay fresh in the minds of teens & tweens alike, that when he made his debut in Twilight , they all came running.
He literally jumped ship from one hugely successful book to film franchise to another. This time around he was the star of the show! Now the third installment of this series is hitting theaters… less than 7 months after the last film was released. In the ADHD world we currently live in this is becoming an alarming trend out of Hollywood. Good on the bank accounts of all involved but it leaves very little room to anticipate or miss your favorite characters back on the screen. All this aside Rpatz has also become quite the gay icon in his own right. Sure he
may not have come out as a gay male himself. But the gay community (as the infamously do very often) have tried to claim him as their own. Nothing wrong with dreaming we guess.
May 2010 Actor of the Month
Robert Downey Jr.
Even though he is a very handsome man we were shocked to find out that Robert Downey was only 45. However if you knew the life he has had up to this point it makes a little more sense. Truthfully young stars like Lindsay Lohan need to look to him & see there is life after substance abuse. If you want it. That talent & sheer drive can take you places you never thought you’d be & take you out of darkness that seems never ending. Like many in Hollywood Robert made his film debut as a child. Only five years old. He played a small role in one of his fathers :Robert Downey, Sr.” films.
Though he was in string of films & small projects in the 80′s. It wasn’t until the 1990′s that he started to make a name for himself. Chaplin , the story of the late (very late) silent movie actor Charlie Chaplin garnered Downey his first Oscar nomination. In any other persons world it would be a time of joy & celebration. For Downey it was a time to dive right into his substance abuse problem. 7 years later he earned a role on the tv show “Alley McBeal”. This was desperately needed because he had gone from respected actor to tabloid mess & well known addict. This gained him a Emmy nomination. He then relapsed & even though he did many films from 1996-2006 none of them gave him back his A-List Status. Until he came face to face with the red metallic suit of armor that would make him big shot once again. In 2007 Downey became the IRON Man & he has been flying high ever since. Actress of The Month Jennifer Aniston
“Friends” may have been her launching pad & her marriage to Brad Pitt May be the spurn of her life in the tabloids. But Jennifer Aniston is so much more! The world waits with batted breath to see if she will ever marry again. But why would she? Her husband left her for a women more successful for her shock value & looks. Less than her actual talent. Yet Jennifer by all accounts has the better career. Sure Angelina has an oscar, but many more of Jens movies are hits & enjoyed by families alike. While Angies target audience is usually just men.
This makes one more likable then the other & even though the press can’t get over The Break up (Movie pun intended). Jen is accustomed to change as she was born on the West coast & grew up mainly in New York. Movies like “Along Came Polly” & Bruce Almighty established her as a comedic actress that could stand tall next to huge leading men like Jim Carey. She easily transitioned her tv persona out & her “quirky” film persona in. So there is really no need to cry for her especially when she was announced as one of the richest women in her field back in 2007 (after her divorce). Jens movies (in total) have grossed over 1 Billion dollars world wide. She is a force to be reckoned with & she does it all with a smile. Not mention some killer legs!

March 2010 Actress of the Month
Mia Wasikowska
Alice May be in Wonderland this year but Mia is in heaven. She finally got the role of a life time. Sure many have played Alice before her & there are sure to be many to play her after. But no one else will get to work with the likes of Tim Burton & his go to guy Johnny Depp.
At only 20 years old she has been placed in a world that truly only Alice can understand. One of wonder , glamour & mystery. In the entertainment world you never know where your career will take you & what your break out moment will be. So this is Mia’s moment. She started out in 2004 on the Austeralian Soap called “All Saints”. It wasn’t until HBO’s “In Treatment” where she played Sophie that she was discovered by the likes of Hollywood & pushed towards movie material. In Tim Burton’s film she plays a 19 year old Alice that returns to a Wonderland in peril. This has been done before but we look forward to seeing it in IMAX 3d we will post the review ASAP. February 2010 Actress of the Month Scarlett Johannson
Even though admittedly she wasn’t a crowd favorite (unless your a straight male) in the film “He’s just not that into you.” Mostly because she played a young girl having a torrid affair with a married man & knew about his wife. This doesn’t leave women much room to like you we are sure. Yet she continues to find work as a model for people such as Dolce & Gabbana & Mango. She is featured in the up coming “Iron Man 2″ & more.
